Need opinions please, a bit better CPU and dedicated GPU worth the extra $150?
like any laptop purchase, it's 100% dependent on what you need it for.

Whether you need the dedicated video card, and whether an MX330 will meet that need, is a question that only you can answer.

i believe only in synthetic benchmarks. the dedicated video card, with its own memory, and its own cooling even if it's using the same heat pipes, its own power delivery, will likely be significantly better in most real life situations.

Thanks. Bought one. The amazon $600 model was out of order. That one has 256Gb storage, a digital pen. This one has 512 gb storage and no pen, dedicated video card, and $80 more. I hope this one has a better wifi card.

How is the heat on this? I was going to wait for ryzen 4000 with integrated gpu, but this looks pretty good to me, and the dedicated graphics mean I can play some of my games on the go. Also, I had a thinkbook before, how does this keyboard compare?

Seems like a good deal. Costco also has similar model and configurations for $899.

Take a look at the AMD powered version at Costco. It's a little more expensive, but you get a 6-core processor, 2-year warranty, and 90 days to return if you don't like the screen.

Is there any reason to buy this over the 4500u Amazon version? I'm sure other people have this question. I'm not finding any reason... the Ryzen iGPU is basically on par with the MX330 for $80 less. I'm pretty sure the Ryzen CPU is about equal as well, if not better.
Ryzen CPU is way better. Check the HardwareUnboxed YouTube review of 4500u. It can be over 40% faster than i7-1065G7 in multi threaded benchmarks and actually slightly faster in single threaded workloads as well. I just don't see any reason of pairing MX 330 (rebranded mx250) in these laptops because both Iris Plus G7 and Vega 6 in 4500u offer almost same performance. All it's gonna do is eating battery life.
I will absolutely go for the $600 Amazon Flex 5 with Ryzen 5 4500u + 16GB ram model over this due huge CPU performance boost.

No point apart from attratting unaware buyers by showing that it has a so called dedicated graphics card. Iris Plus G7 is just slightly lower than mx250 and Vega 6 in 4500U is almost on par with it. All it will do is reducing battery life due to the dedicated graphics card while providing very marginal graphics power over integrated graphics.

Will be okay, if you're using Adobe Photoshop which still runs a bit better in Intel Processors. However. the quality of the display is very poor for any editing work. You probably should be looking for a 90% above sRGB display whereas this one has 60% of that color gamut.

Hey metalman1884, what do you think of the display on yours (especially brightness)?
