True. But those with limited data requirements may not want to pay more for unlimited. I think mint still offers good value for data plans that are not unlimited.
Would love to know other suggestions for say under $20 plans and 8gb or so data.
Thank you.
The only "unlimited" data i have found under $30 for a t mobile mvno has been hello mobile at $25 a month.
I have never used hello, but there does seem to be some posts online claiming they throttle after 15 gigs, porting and customer service complaints online. The website does not mention throttle or data caps.

TMO connect: 2GB data with unlimited text and call. $15 per line monthly.
$15 monthly * 12 month = $180 per year.
Versus
Mint Mobile: $150 for 12 month of service containing 3GB of data, unlimited text and call w/ mint. Regular price is $180.
$150 / 12 months = $12.50 monthly. Plus an extra GB of data.

edit: scratch that.
not sure why the TDs.
No one giving any reasons, better alternatives or constructive feedback.
I still think this is better than most other alternatives out there. May be others will chime in.
not sure why the TDs.
Somehow was showing 8gb at night when I posted. Thanks for the heads up. Corrected.
A) It's easier and better to point it out than just TD.
B) it's still a deal nevertheless.
