AtacticalDirect via Amazon [amazon.com] has the Wowtac A6 for $29.99 - 5% off clippable coupon + 20% stackable coupon from wowtac.com [amazon.com] = $22.49. Free shipping even if you don't have Prime.

Great Flashlight. Small, bright, built in recharging. This is a few dollars less than last popular deal, and time may be limited by a coupon overlap. Here is how I got he deal:

1. Follow this link [amazon.com] for the WOWTAC A6 Flashlight. Click the 5% clickable coupon, go ahead and add to card. NOTE: The seller must state "Sold By AtacticalData"

2. Follow this link [amazon.com] posted on the front page wowtac.com website for 20% off for Fathers Day (if you go to their website, it's on the front page).

3. Find the WOWTAC A6 EDC on the page and select "add to cart".

4. Go to card, change quantity to 1 flashlight. You should see a discount of $1.50 (5% coupon) and $6.00 (20% coupon). Total before tax is $22.49.

Good luck and enjoy!

QA Note: Now $23.99, 5% clickable coupon is NLA

Not an expert, but I would like to be when I grow up.

The learning curve he referred to is related to the batteries. I believe the rechargeable 18650s will make the light brighter and will be more tolerate to turbo modes.
Disposable AAA style batteries may rupture and leak if you are always running the light at max output.

18650 batteries describes a size, but there are multiple styles and shapes, capacities, voltages, discharge curves, thermal limits, quality levels etc. So optimizing the battery to the light can be a process of research and trial and error. Sometimes these flashlights are a hobby unto themselves.

Great reply, but there are also very serious hazards to 18650 (and all size lithium-ion batteries).

If these types of batteries get too hot, dented, punctured, over-drawn, or shorted out, they can at the very least vent harmful gasses and start a fire. They can also explode if they're damaged severely enough.

RESEARCH SAFE-HANDLING PROCEDURES OF LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES BEFORE YOU START USING THEM.
