I was just thinking how my Altra Lone Trail 3s are the only shoe I've truly loved. I've worn them as a travel shoe, hiking shoe, backpacking shoe. Combined with a thin merino sock, I've been able to avoid blisters entirely. I've been looking at the Superiors for the lower stack height. Thanks!
These shoes feel like your wearing a slipper. I'm wearing them right now. So comfortable.
The rock plate doesn't do much and I wouldn't wear them on a serious trail.
If you're not familiar with Altra's the wide toe box is comfortable but feels a bit sloppy. The zero drop takes time to get used to. They killed my achilles at first.
Overall, great shoe. Thinking about ordering another pair.

Bingo, I love my Lone Peak 4, but also wish I had seen a deal like this on the Superior at the time. I could use a few mm shorter stack to keep from rolling my ankles as much as I do. Not bad, just annoying on technical trails.
The hardest part is not wearing them everywhere and destroying the lugs. So comfy.
Not sure if you've tried on a pair of altras but .. "normal" widths aren't normal for altras.
Exactly. I wear a 15 4E in every shoe but Altra, where I wear a normal 15. The wide toe box is luxurious. I buy new Lone Peaks every year for hiking. (yes they wear out pretty quickly)
