Walmart "Lost" my order on one of the 58 Inch TVs. Chatted with them and gave them an earfull. Got them to give me a 15% discount and 25 Promo code to be applied to a new purchase. Got this 65 inch instead - came out to 343.00 Not bad. They were going to give me a "free" replacement for the 58 inch but it was out of stock.

Do you still have the code? I wonder if it will still work

They're decent budget sets.
I paid about $280 for this back in September.
Will not match the screen quality of the $570 Costco set.

But Roku trumps Android TV in ease of use, with respect to the to UI and minimal remote.

My only gripe with Hisense/Sharp is that they downgraded the remotes from their 2017 Roku models. The old models had a soft rubber coat & a weighted plate embedded in the remote to give it some extra heft. That model is RCRUDUS-18. The cheap hard plastic version that they now include with Roku sets is RCRUS-18.

If you're able to find the other model for cheap, it's worth every penny.

Also, bear in mind, these are IR only. I prefer that, but some people like the mic.

The H6 should have fewer dimming regions than the H8, so the contrast will be less dramatic.

I'm willing to bet a more pedantic comment will come along and cite every detail from the spec sheet, but there aren't many specs that really matter/can't be augmented for a set this cheap. An external sound system is a must, however.

As long as you set the picture settings toward something that actually looks color accurate, instead of what some review site tells you to do, either panel will do just fine in a majority of use cases.

Not sure if this TV will have the same issue, but the H8F has issues with connecting a sound bar via ARC. The volume setting constantly pops up. There hasn't been a fix for it since I got it in November.

Please be aware that this is a budget tv and it can act up at times. There has been occasions where I had to unplug it and reboot it because it wasn't working.

If you can't find white balance and other real calibration settings in the R6/R7 regular menus, this link's instructions worked to get in the service menu of the 55" H8F refurb I just bought:
https://factory-reset.com/wiki/Hisense_Service_Menu
The H8F service menu has master/global white balance, gamma, etc, settings, so I would guess the same year R6/R7 does too.
-Of course DON'T change anything in the service menu if you don't know what the results will be, unless you are willing to risk bricking the TV...

Pick an input or start a streaming app then press the * button on the remote and then select "Picture Settings". On top of that, there's a Roku app for phones that syncs with the TV if it's on the same network and gives you even more settings in the "Expert Picture Settings" menu. The app gives you White Balance, Color Range, Gamma, and Noise Reduction. I have the 58R6E (2019) and strongly recommend setting Gamma to 2.4 (2.2 is too bright for this set imo) and turning off Noise Reduction. This makes a huge difference by itself before even messing with the normal picture settings on the TV.

The H8F is in my opinion one of the best budget TVs right now. That and the later model Vizio M series TVs are the only models I've seen at that price point that can produce both accurate color and black levels. Slight edge to the Vizio. If that's not important to you def go for this one as it's not gonna be far enough behind to notice for most people.

was it a home delivery or store pickup? and what do you mean by "free" replacement?
