was it a home delivery or store pickup? and what do you mean by "free" replacement?
Home delivery - and good question. He said he was unable to provide a "free replacement" since it was out of stock. This statement was made subsequent to his "we will refund you the amount" for the lost TV. So, I'm assuming he meant they would have replaced the "lost tv" for free?

I did end our conversation with this...."Hope the 58" still arrives, that would be nice." He said "I hope so too."

i ordered the 58 last week, was supposed to arrive yesterday to the store. tracking shows the tv arrived yesterday but in the afternoon i got an email saying there's a pickup delay. i called this morning and told some woman what happened. she said she'd look into it and call me back. she calls back and says they don't have the tv and that the FedEx has it. i said why does it show it was dropped off at the store then? she puts the manager on the phone. manager says she'll call me back. couple hours later the manager calls back says that they don't have the tv and is not sure why the tracking shows that. she said it also happened to her personal order as well and she doesn't know where it is lol. wtf. anyway, she said she's getting 4 of these TV's tomorrow for the store and if mine is not one of them then she'll give me one of the other ones. what a mess. guess I'll wait till tomorrow

Sounds a lot like my first contact with them. Mine had a tracking number with Fedex but it only indicated "label created." It was for two day delivery. I ordered two, and received one of them.

I initiated with online chat - assuming you called - maybe try online chat. They may offer you a discount for that 65" Hisense. Either way, hope you get your TV though.

Walmart destroyed Kmart and other competitors with their information system, managing inventory with suppliers. Today, with online ordering taking over - Amazon is destroying Walmart with their much better shipping info system.

This or $499 for a 70" similar model (70R6270F) at Costco....
I wish I could tell the differences better, besides Costco has better "protection". Any help would be welcome.

True Story... Amazon is way ahead of the complete virtual online store replacing all sellers near or far

Not sure if this TV will have the same issue, but the H8F has issues with connecting a sound bar via ARC. The volume setting constantly pops up. There hasn't been a fix for it since I got it in November.
Which manufacturer soundbar?

My 3 Vizio soundbars and Yamaha receiver, all over ARC, work near perfectly on my 4 Hisense/Sharp Roku TVs.

I have the 56R6E from walmart, don't plan on HDR gaming on the Xbox X. See my post with pic attach. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=138159425&postcount=19

Still I"m pretty happy for only $300. I wanted a high end TCL or Hisense but this will hold me over until the next big thing. I have the TCL 6 for fancy HDR gaming. Sadly the latest TCL patch messed something up, it won't wake up unless I unplug it.

Sony and Vizio. Googled the issue when it first happened and there are a bunch of various threads that discuss it.

I've installed some Sony Bravias in client's home theaters. I'm not a fan. They bastardize the ARC standard and introduce some proprietary nonsense that doesn't work well with other manufacturers. That goes both ways too; audio equipment <----> TVs.

A TCL Roku TV didn't play nice with the Yamaha. I had to use ARC for volume control, and an optical for audio. Wound up returning that TV, but configuring the receiver was a massive headache.

So much for standards...

The whole enamoration with HDR on current UHD sets it completely overrated. Most only have HDMI 2.0. The HDMI 2.0 spec can only do 18 Gbps which equates to 4:4:4 chroma sub-sampling, 2160p, and 8-bit color.

HDR requires at least 10-bit color. Essentially, to achieve HDR through an HDMI connected device, you'll have to compromise on the chroma compression or the resolution.

The uncompromised HDR rating can be achieved through built-in apps, but never through HDMI 2.0.

High-end 8K sets are beginning to introduce the HDMI 2.1 specification, which has sufficient bandwidth. Some monitors can also achieve it through DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 3, which also have sufficient bandwidth.

But as it relates to the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, they only have an HDMI 2.0 port and will never achieve an uncompromised 4K HDR picture.

Wait it out bro. New standards on the way.

my dream TV is probably another year out. The TCL X915 also comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, as well as three HDMI 2.1 ports – making it fully able to support 8K passthrough and support 4K/120Hz gaming from next-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X). You'll also find eARC (enhanced audio return channel), VRR (variable refresh rate) and ALLM (auto low latency mode) here too. https://www.techradar.com/news/tc...-your-home

Lol. The dream will change by the time that releases. The specs on your "dream" TV seem future proofed. But who knows?

That's thing about specs; they are continually changing. They are impossible to chase down; particularly as it relates to upgrading the multitude of equipment that comprise a home theater.

In the era of smart TVs, I've gained the utmost appreciation for UX.
The simplified remote, OS UI, and long term SW support make Roku TVs the easy recommend for most people.

That happened to me last week. I ordered a recliner couch and it didn't come on time and didn't update the Shipping Info so I called them and they said it got lost so they sent me a replacement and came 4 days after together with the original order. So I got 2 recliner sofa. Based on email, I can't return the original order since it's already marked "returned" maybe it's considered damaged? I can either keep it, donate or trow it. What else should I do with it ? Of course I kept it! Lol
