Besides storage size and extra warranty. Costco's is 50 more or 100 more if you get the excellent condition on BB

Yes, it does support Type-C Support. As per the official Spec, it supports Data Transfer at gen 2 Speed (10 Gbps), Display Out (4K 60 Hz) and Power Delivery 3.0. You can actually charge it with a properly powerful, 65W or higher, Type-C Charger with Power Delivery protocol.

very good deal for expandable memory on storage Ryzen 4500u laptop. The processor and form factor is great. Is this vega 6 graphics? To any owners, does this have driver issues as found on previous Hp envy ryzen models and very loud fans constantly running.

Only downside is the 250 nits 45% NTSC display. The quality is similar to the Lenovo ideapad 5 models but this is even dimmer at 250 nits compared to 300 nits in Ideapad 5

Would this laptop be adequate for light/newbie video editing? Essentially for family and youtube videos. Currently, my wife uses her phone as our laptops are old and slow. We use a gopro 5 to record.

Absolutely. It's not color-accurate enough to do professional video editing, but it doesn't sound like you need that anyway. You might want to go for the Costco version that's on sale for an extra $50 though, you get a bigger/faster SSD and the free Costco warranty/support. BestBuy has pretty terrible customer support and their warranties are like >$100.

Actually significantly different, keyboard layout, touchpad size, ports which side they on, even the ventilation. Two completely different body.
