They prevent the "popping" sound that is recorded when a person makes certain sounds, like a word that begins with "p".
Shit yeah it's time to bust some flows. Mic check, 1 2 1 2. There's no snare in my headphones 🎤

I've always wondered what these things do. Are they just a spit guard?

Can this attach to a Yeti Blue? I'm looking at it and trying to figure out how.

There are hundreds of filters for $5-%10 on amazon, ebay, etc.
Could someone explain what makes this better? Is it the netting etc? I am not a fan of screw clamps. Once that tightening handle part comes off, it's garbage.

It's just higher quality than ones that are sub $10 on Amazon... at least in my experience. I own a few different ones now. I'd stay away from the no name chinesium generic style ones on Amazon if you want them to last for more than a year. I've got a microphone stand from Deco Gear that's holding up pretty well. Haven't had any trouble with their clamps but I'm pretty easy on my gear. Peace

I just wish it wasn't that red/orange color.

Everything in my setup is white, black and silver.... with mostly light blue LEDs.

Orange would just clash. Normally, I wouldn't care too much. But this would be for my living room PC.
