Anyone getting an error message when they try to reserve a line?

So as an existing customer, you can add one free line. Once your BYOD free lines end on 6/30, you will pay the regular price for those 2 lines on Sprint, and you will just get a 3rd line free.

If you are currently paying for 2 lines, then you can add a 3rd line free.

And I believe you have to pay taxes for the free line, like on the Sprint free 1 year plan.

Yes, I also tried reserving a line and got the following error:
Oh no! It's seems there are no more compatible plans for this phone. Please try different IMEI number or shop our wide selections of phones.

If you reserve a line what is the process for adding a phone later and the sim ?
Great question. I'd love to know what the next steps are now that I have reserved my line.

Tried to do it, got to the end and they want to charge me $40/mo. No clue why. It said it was free the whole time up to that point.

I've been on sprint since 1999 and they are just the worst. Works great in cities and my car, but beyond that, not so much. Any of my offices or at my home and no one can hear me on the phone.
I see the same. I wanted me to add the Kick-start plan on the new phone I am about to add using this promo.

I tried both Buy a Phone and Reserve the Line options. I am not sure if that means the plans are not eligible for this offer.

I have Unlimited Savings Unlimited Talk, Text & Data - $100/mon. for 3 lines.

In order to get the offer I had to talk to a rep and they claimed it would be "service credit" after selecting Unlimited Kickstart. My current plan is one of the unlimited plans, not Kickstart. The chat log segment

"
You : OK. So just to make sure I understand. I will get a $35/mo service credit
Megan : Yes you are absolutely correct!
You : and if I select "Unlimited Kickstart" at $40/mo - $5/mo autopay + $35/mo credit that gets me to $0/mo
Megan : The Unlimited with Autopay is for $35/mo. and yes with the service credit you will get it for $0.00/mo.

switched plan to unlimited whatever, saving $15/mo, but then it removed my 50GB hot spot, international roaming, and still wants to charge me $40/mo for the phone.

Anyone able to get the activation fee waived?
I couldn't find any information about the activation fees. Is everyone being charged $30 for activation?

Using the Buy a Phone option, after I add a phone to purchase from Sprint, it wants to me add the Kickstart Plan on that new line. But there is no mentioned of any service credit. This is all online.

Question1: if I get through their slow system and somehow reserve the line, does anyone know how long I will have to port that number over?

Question2: What happens to the main line on the account since my account is the free BYOD plan which is set to expire at end of this month?

Can someone reply to this if they already know the answers, thanks in advance!

Exactly what I did, but I did a chat in a separate window and got a transcript of it. No confirmation of reduced cost during the purchase and I wouldn't be surprised if I have to fight for the credit. I had her spell out the math exactly so the fight was easy and so I could share here.

So for this to be free, you would see the credit for the life of this new line....hmm. Does it say any expiration dates etc.?

I have a Pixel 2XL that i previously had on sprint's free BYOD plan.
Not this phone is on Tello and i have ported out of sprint.

I still have another SERO plan that was converted to their advantage plan on sprint.
But when i try to reserve this for the Tello Pixel 2XL, it says:
Quote :
Sprint service already activated
This phone has already been activated for Sprint service.
So i take it that i cannot use a phone that is active on Tello Frown

Looking into this to use as kind of a "house phone." I don't really want my kids having a phone of their own yet, no matter how much the 8 year old wants one.

Read the entire thread, lots of different info.

So when I load the promo page it says $0 monthly but there is a little "i" info button under where it says SD video streaming, when you click it it says

"Free after $35/mo. credit. Video streams up to 480p, music up to 500 Kbps, gaming up to 2 Mbps. During congestion, the small fraction of customers using >50GB/mo. may notice reduced speeds until next bill cycle due to data prioritization. Unlimited data on our network. Reqs new line and eligible BYOD or Full SRP phone. Account, plan, or device changes may end monthly credit. Other mo. charges apply.**"

So is this why all of you are seeing $35 at the end. Because it looks like it will be a $35 a month plan and you then get a $35 credit every month for it.

Plus you need to pay the taxes and fees for it.

Also for all of those reserving a line. It looks like it is basically turned ON from that point, even though you won't have a phone on it, you will start paying the taxes and feeds on it. It is in one of the drop down accordions at the bottom of the page.

"Your reserved line is just like any other line and therefore subject to standard fees and taxes even though you are not actively using the service."

Either way I still might bite. I just don't ever trust sprint to credit me like they say they will. I also would like to buy a new iPhone SE for myself and then could just put the 6 I am using on this account.

edit - If I click reserve a line it tells me I don't have a compatible phone for this plan. Like others reported. Which doesn't make sense...

Edit 2 - yeah this entire process is wonky. If i click bring my own phone, it takes me to a page talking about the $35 phone plan. If I click new phone, it takes me to the store, I select a phone, it then only allows me to add it to the plan I already have. Click reserve and it says I don't have a phone. It is like no one through this user experience through at all.

You might have a look at GABB phones. $50 for the phone and $20 per month plan. No internet, no wifi. I have been looking into them for my kids.

I was able to get it approved with a $50 pre-owned LG Tribute Royal to sit at home as a fail-safe, so "Full SRP" seems flexible

I don't trust Sprint with the credits either so I made sure to have a very clear chat log.
