I'm still trying to determine if it was a good deal at $1199. Still in the return window.

I like it a lot. I was considering the MSI ge75 deal at Costco next week. Checked it out and it feels like a toy next to the Legion. I've owned a Thinkpad in the past so I had a good idea of the quality. The Legion is heavy for sure and the power supply is big too. Good feature is rapid charge that can charge it very quickly. The 2060 is the 90w variant from my testing. SSD is very fast, keyboard is responsive and 144hz display looks great. I was looking at the g14 too, but with my eyes for programming and gaming the 17in is better.

Yeah, for sure, if you need all of these specs, it still isn't a *bad deal, necessarily. But you can probably do better if you don't have to have it right now.

To that end, the Raider deal from Costco is better on paper but the aesthetics are awful, and IMHO, have been on nearly every laptop MSI has made aside from the prestige and stealth series. Too bad too because I read it's a good performer. That stuff doesn't matter to some people so to them, go wild lol.

Legion is no nonsense and probably the most 'you get what you see' (and what you pay for). Hope it works out for you!

It was a good deal at $1199 for a laptop with clean modern asthetics. The fast Samsung 1tb SSD, i7-10750h, RTX 2060, 144 hz screen, etc make it a fair value. $1200 seems to be the price point for a decent rtx 2060 setup - ge75, rp-15, a15 but if you know of better in that range coming up, let me know. I'd wait
