Costco has this on sale.
I got Yamaha ATS-1080 from last deal but haven't had time to open yet.
I am thinking about returning it and get this one instead.
Anyone has any experience for this one?
Seems like a good deal to me; the model ATS-2090 and the YAS-209 are basically identical; the YAS-209 is regularly $350 elsewhere. For $239 I'll take the chance, especially with Costco's return policy.
Bought one yesterday at my local Costco. Very comparable to my Bose cinemate 15 in terms of sound quality. Not as stylish looking but does the job of a sound bar fantastically. The app is a bit of a let down. Has 4k pass through. hdmi arc is also available so you need just one hdmi cable to connect your devices. Remote is very functional and easy to use. Setup was a breeze except for the Alexa connection to your account which has to be done through the app. Definitely a good deal. Highly recommended.
Can this play apple music? I heard some yamaha models preventing apple music from being played. Also in terms of sound quality, how does it compare with those that have dolby atmos?
It's probably worth signing up to Costco to buy this... would still be $50 cheaper than buying it somewhere else, and hey... now you have a Costco membership.
This deal is back again as part of the Thanksgiving deals at Costco.
I got it last week. Note that it supports ARC not eARC. But, no complaints, goes well with my Samsung TU700D. Setting up with TV was effortless.
Sound fills the living area, be it music, movies or tv shows; much better experience than my older Bose Solo (bought 6 years ago).I am still trying to figure out a way to set up TV skills for Alexa, though, you can run the usual commands to check weather, run timers etc. right out of the box.
Clear voice mode is awesome for watching TV shows / content where dialogues are more important.
