IT IS NOT scientific to test qualified KN95 masks by pouring water into them. The dripping test is just a rumor. Firstly, water will destroy the protection ability of the melt blown filtering layer, that means: Water will destroy the effectiveness of the face mask; Secondly, too much water has weight (universal force[Laugh]) , so too much water will drip. Also, : The first layer of nonwoven material can let O2 (= oxygen ) pass through the face mask. That is why, the 1st Layer of face mask cannot 100% block water, especially when there is too much (for example, a cup of Water , too much water !!) pour in the face mask. This is not a scientific test and should not be used. All my kn95 are better than the surgical masks I have acquired. I figure this is going to be a long haul so I use surgical for quick trips like getting gas, surgical with cloth filter mask for grocery trips, the kn95 for longer more risky trips like when I had to go to dentist for crown. These headstrap will be used to go to gym if they clean up their act(masks are mandated but they do not enforce it and lunkheads ignore rules).
Rather than use surgical masks for anything why not just rotate. I numbered my masks, I have a 10 mask rotation but I think I am going to increase the number because I want at least two weeks before reuse. I have an empty section in my closet where I just hang them a few inches from each other on a wire hangar.

I do cardio exercising outdoors without mask but carry one of the surgical in case anyone is around.
Gym workouts are mostly lifting weights--I have not returned to doing that because there is a lot of virus here, they will not distance and I did not have any of the better masks. I ordered the headstraps for that but the community virus load where I live went up dramatically so it is back to waiting and hoping it goes down.
They are impossible to get without getting ripped off on eBay, and having to question if they are even real
Nice of you to want to donate them. But it's not like you have 100. Def hang on to some if not all of them for a rainy day. Idiots won't do what they need to do to let this virus die down.
I want to get Powecoms to replace the N95s soon and debating between headstrap style featured here or earloop (a bit cheaper) with earsaver. Appreciate all the comments on headstrap fit to make my decision...

I dont foresee regular n95 masks being available to us at all for the rest of the year.
Hopefully vacuum sealing these foldable Powecom masks will extend their shelf life for quite some time.

Would anyone rotate several Powecom masks and reuse them?
I thought the earloop style was the best KN95 mask I have used so far, so I was excited to try these as I was hoping they would give a better seal around the nose area.
So basically, its the same material as the ear loop, and just another ear loop connection
The headband, while feeling much more comfortable then the ear loop, doesn't really give me any better seal then I had with the ear loop
I believe this is because they didn't use tighter and stronger straps. I can only compare to regular N95 masks that I have used and they give a full seal
I believe if they used tighter straps, it would seal completely. I also believe because KN95s are shipped basically bent in half, it makes the adjusting harder. I need to test another mask, maybe mess with the nose bar before I put it on, see what works etc etc
Obviously, I will continue using these as they do give me a seal when I mess around with it a bit, but I was really hoping it would give a tight seal, which sadly this doesn't. It does give me a good enough seal though, and is miles better then what I see 95 percent of the people wearing outside ( but good enough doesn't equal 95 percent filtration )
I still would recommend them as they are the best KN95 on the market right now, considering there aren't n95 anywhere.
Just don't expect the super tight feel of the N95 with the headband style
That being said, I like the headband style better than the earloop style, so I am happy with the purchase. I was just hoping to feel 100 percent comfortable wearing these, as I do wearing an n95 mask with a full tight seal. I guess thats not really possible with KN.
Being in these times though where you can't get the best, these are the best, of the second best available
