I for one couldn't agree more. After speaking with my God Aquaman he insisted that these PCs be waterproof and have powerful antennas shaped like his trident so he too can enjoy the experience.
I've purchased 3 as gifts for overseas for family members who are college students. Apparently their demands and use of the PC are limited to regular stuff and not "special" needs stuff. It's a win for me and them! Yay.
Almost everyone in a non third-world country has used a mid to upper level laptop or desktop and quickly got used to having a ton of $#it open all the time even if they don't need it. Tabs on tabs on tabs on tabs and what for? Unless you're studying/learning, working on something its just your mind running on an ADHD trip that's the result of having so much info, media, visuals available at an instant + the fact a lot apps and sites are designed to get you addicted to them
And yes, I know someone's going to say Windows 10 uses more RAM. To that I say, delete the junk bloatware, stop programs from running on startup in task manager and proceed to do 1-2, maybe 3 things at a time on a budget laptop like what they are meant for.
That or don't complain about the price or specs and spend another $30-35 to add some RAM

Side note, I ended up paying $379 before taxes for the 14" version, comes with 8gb of dual-channel ram, 256 gb ssd, and I rather have the smaller form factor. Laptop is snappy and does everything I need.

The Costco screen is SO much better.
The Walmart screen has faded colors, and the colors change depending on the angle you're viewing it. And you can't ever get into a position where the colors are bright with good contrast.
The Costco screen is beautiful.
I would only buy the Walmart one if you're using an external monitor.
The only good thing about it is that it is matte. The Costco screen is glossy.
I bought them for my mom, and she doesn't mind Costco's smaller screen.
I prefer a matte 15.6" screen, so I wouldn't go with either laptop. But she's fine with the 14". She likes how lightweight it is, and that it's "cute". It is lightweight, and compared to my all aluminum Lenovo 15.6" Yoga, it does feel cheap.
A year ago I bought the Acer Aspire 15.6" [amazon.com]for my sister for $280 from Amazon. That was a better deal than either one of these laptops.
