LaView does not stand behind their warranty. If you request a RMA they will just keep repeating the same troubleshooting steps and will not issue a RMA. Due to this, only purchase this product if you plan to trash it once it fails. I will never buy another LaView product again, and will continue to post this every time one of their products is posted as a warning to others.

I've had LaView for years and never had an issue with their RMA process. Had to replace 2 cameras over 4 years and had 0 issues.
I am fighting with them right now with an RA. Last month I purchased 2 nvr's. They did not automatically connect with the wireless laview cameras unless I used a router or switch. It is supposed to automatically connect without one. There is a lot more to it but they did not work properly as described. I explained they did not fit my needs so I wanted to return one and I would keep one for toying around with. One of these units is not opened even. They stated you could not return just one, Both had to be returned in order to be refunded. I wanted a further explanation. I said if I buy 15 cameras and 5 nvr's on the same invoice you make people return all 20 items even if you only want to return one? Their answer was yes, you have to return all items. I've never heard of such nonsense. It's been 5 emails and 2 phone calls. I finally said I would just return both for a refund and buy from amcrest instead. They said they could not give me a shipping label for an ra until it was troubleshooted,. I even had offered to pay for shipping. Their website says you can return any product within 30 days if you are unhappy with it. Piss poor customer service!

I have two Laview NVRs. Purchased 2-3 years apart, NVR 1 and then NVR 2. Models are 100% the same and identical in all aspects. NVR 2 has features that work. NVR 1 has features that don't work. I noticed both had different firmware versions. Their website only had the older version and I wanted the newer one so, both NVR could have working features.
I tried emailing tech support and they tell me that it's a firmware issue and I should reset and I should update to their latest, which is listed on their website. I've tried this repeatedly for NVR 1 and it's a no-go. Nothing can get it through their thick headed CSRs that I need the newer firmware, which NVR 2 has, but NVR 1 doesn't, and their website only has the firmware for NVR 1.
Yeah. Their CSR kinda suck. As for hardware, no issues yet, only that even most basic features like SMTP and alerts dont work. What the hell guys...

Have you considered filing a dispute with your credit card? Also, sometimes a BBB complaint works wonders.
This does not seem to be ONVIF compatible. Looking at the model number on laviews website (it says laview cloud protocol and reviews on Newegg say no also).
