Normal gym mats are 3/4" thick. This mat is 1/6th that thickness, but not 1/6th the price.
A 4'x6' 3/4" thick mat is appx $45 (tractor supply). Buy accordingly.
Some may think this is a good price but I agree, the thickness of the mats are not of acceptable use for things like home gyms.

"Usually ships within 2-3 days" and limit of 3 per purchase. Kind of annoying if you need more than that. The 4X7 preview price says $36, and is In Stock, but jumps to $68.86 when selected.

Edit to say I experienced 4X7 pricing discrepancy on the Amazon App, but in browser the prices for the 4X7 match the $36 price as expected.

I previously installer thicker (and more expensive) mats in my home gym, but wanted something that was a bit easier to maneuver and trim for the purposes of installing in my outdoor shed.

I picked up a few rolls of these up the last time they were on sale and was not disappointed. I was able to easily trim them to my shed's dimensions using a straight edge.

As with most rubber products, there is a bit of an odor but nothing that can't be removed by letting the role air out for a few hours before installing.

What does this feel like barefoot? I'd consider putting it in an outbuilding by my pool but this tread pattern is kind hard on the feet at least when it's metal.

this is correct. i own a pair of genuine 4'x6' mats which are 1/2" thick and weight about 30lbs each, so i can't imagine anything coming in a roll like OP that would do much good at dissipating drop damage, all it may be able to do is take deep scratches in place of wood flooring.

Just purchased 4 of those last weekend. They are perfect and just needed a wash and some time to air outside. That got rid of 90% of the smell. (The main complaint I see).

If you just need an exercise mat, the cheap $20ish one is fine. I have it and honestly it's much better than I'd thought. It does "shed" a bit, but not by much. It feels like normal wear. If this thing lasts me 5, maybe even 10 years I wouldn't be surprised. It's just foam padding.

I'm not needing this for a home gym. Thinking about putting in my 100 year old garage floor that has pitted concrete. Just so it's more of a smooth surface . Other than the diamond pattern do things roll on this decently easy ?

Where do you get the idea that manufactured goods must be priced in exact proportion to the quantity of raw material used?
