Panasonic Arc-5 Shaver *with* additional replacement shaving head $109.99 at Costco

I've seen this excellent shaver rarely go on sale for $99.99 during black friday/similar (the Father's day sales recently were $119.99)--Costco is now selling this item for $109.99 with an additional replacement shaving head included. It looks like those replacement shaving heads (which you will eventually need) run about $50 on amazon making this deal slick IMHO.

https://www.costco.com/panasonic-...33298.html

Edit 1: it appears there is some debate about what the included "one replacement shave head" is exactly as there appears to be two parts involved if you wanted to completely replace the head of the shaver in the future:
1. Shaver head foil (which contains integrated blades)
2. Two inner blades

Either way it appears the value of the "one replacement shave head" included in the Costco package is worth $40-50.

Worst case scenario, you can always return with Costco's excellent return policy if the provided replacement shaving head doesn't have the parts you expect...

Edit 2: Panasonic recommends replacing the outer foil system (included for free with this Costco unit) after 1 year and the inner blades (apparently not included with this Costco unit) after 2 years

Great deal. I am very happy with mine and paid $100 on Amazon. Having the extra head is very good deal for the extra $10.

Not bad but I'd rather have replacement blades instead of the foil.

I think the blades are together with the foil. This is a great deal! Thanks OP! Thanks I didn't know that they offer a bundle with an extra replacement head. My Braun series 7 foil has fallen apart lately and I'm shaving with half a foil!

Edit: Seems like I'm wrong. The replacement head may only be the foil and may not include new blades. Sorry Thanks for pointing out that the replacement head may not include the blades grazhoppa!

Seems like it only includes the foil thanks to grazhoppa's reminder. Here's the direct description from Costco:

"An exclusive for Costco, extra replacement outer foils are included."

That would make no sense. If that is the case, I will be returning it.

Can this handle thick facial hair? My arc3 really struggled and could only do it if it was short stubble and with multiple passes. I don't have time to spend 15 minutes shaving.

Didn't work for me. This model also pulled on my hairs a lot and was painful. I returned mine and switched to Braun which has been working perfectly with no tug.

hmm debate here. I have a Phillips Norelco shaver for almost 8 + years. The replacement head I can find is $40. Should I buy this instead?

I have Arc4 and it's starting to pull hair. May be because of blades, but it pulls more hair if the beard is longer than 2 mm or so. A new Arc5 unit should be ok for thick beard.
