Ridgid Circular Saws from $51.99

I was hoping for a great deal on circular saws over father's day, but didn't see anything particularly exciting posted. I ended up ordering one from directtoolsoutlet.com, and the prices seem decent. From my understanding, factory blemished tools from this site are eligible for Ridgid's LSA. Not sure if the same applies to "certified pre-owned", they are listed with a 1-year warranty.
There were even less expensive saws from Ryobi (like this one for $15.99, https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...p/ZRCSB125) OOS but I'm hesitant to post it as a deal because I'm not that familiar with Ryobi's products.

Factory blemished do qualify for LSA. Pre-owned tools do not.

Makes sense with the additional warranty info for the CPO tools. BTW, are you familiar with how imperfect these blemished tools are?

I don't know how bad the blemishes are, sometimes it is just the box being blemished but it is clearly a "YMMV" issue.

I have bought the ~$15 Ryobi listed by the OP from that vendor, and it was indeed like new, with the blade - although not omg quality - actually being new and sharp. I've actually paid $11.99 for it and had FS...laugh out loud

I've ordered two or three Ridgid tools from Direct Tools and never noticed anything wrong with them.

I have ordered 2 or 3 "blemished" Ridgid tools from them as well. I swore they were brand new. Got LSA on all but 1 which is still pending but I expect to be added at any point now.

Bought many Ryobi factory blemished tools from them, they looked 100% new and perfect. Rumor has it they are perfect, the term is just used to sell "new" tools while Home Depot has the exclusive contract.

Certainly gives me a lot of confidence so many people were getting good product from this site, looking forward for my saw to get delivered. I ordered the 6.5" saw before the 7.25" became available, so I'm slightly conflicted if I should opt for the more standard size. But at least the smaller one will have a magnesium base.

The 18volt gen 5x is one of the more disappointing Ridgid 18v tools - slow to spin up and not a lot of power. It's more a "use occasionally" versus "use all the" time tool. (My opinion is based on owning it.)

Hi dTor,

I ordered from DTO for the first time. When I registered for LSA, it asked me to snail-mail in the receipt. Did you have to do that to get LSA approved?

I got 2 LSA submissions from my Home Depot purchasers. I only needed to upload a screenshot of the order confirmations

I saw that, but I just took a screenshot of my orders and upbraided them. Ridgid accepted them.

I placed an order 7 days ago and it is still "processing" but the cc has been charged. I sent an email to customer service but haven't heard back either. So any luck getting stuff shipped from them recently ?

Yes, unless there's a free shipping promo around a holiday.
