BUYERS BEWARE The 144hz Screens have around 20ms Response Time Low Color Gamuts Low Brightness under 300 nits. You may wanna stay away if you are sensitive to ghosting or you can hook up an external display because the USB Type C port Display Port 1.4 is connected directly to the GPU.I have serious concerns of the longevity of this laptop with these high temperatures.

I believe the screen is not 144Hz, just 60Hz.

As far as I know, all new Ryzen laptop with have a temperature limit and the CPU will turbo under this thermal limit. For this A15, the temperature is 95C. So no matter what cooling you are using, the temp will be 95C, the CPU will simply boost higher if given better cooling capacity and the CPU is still functional even if there is NO COOLING AT ALL. For Dell G5 SE the temp limit seems to be 100C. Same thing for all macbooks, many of the macbooks Intel CPU hit 100C consistently. This is all by design. I wouldn't worry about the temps and longevity. Not to the slightest. Decent deal. At this moment is the most powerful laptop setup with CPU and GPU combined for 15 inch laptop without a CPU socket. Very good for Desktop replacement. EDIT: I know there is a Youtube video saying ASUS intentionally block some of the thermal performance. I agree with the youtuber. The thing is, it's still got adequate cooling. The fact is that you cannot find any Ryzen laptop that perform better than this one in terms of CPU performance. The CPU in this laptop tends turbo higher than any other machine except for DELL G5 SE@100C. And the GPU always reach 90w power limit with temperature 80C. Of course it can be cooler if there is a better cooling design. So is every other laptop.

I just bought it a bit ago, but not shipped it. This should be more than able to.

Currently, I have an i59300h with a 1660ti Max Q, it can run high settings with RTX, Anti aliasing and stuff off and still get above 100 FPS. This should be more than able to.

I own this laptop, nice build quality, nice performance, my only complaint is the screen is a touch too dim but I play on external monitor so it's not a big problem. Keyboard is really nice, no need for an external one with this.

I just don't understand why the graphics card has 6gb but the pc only has 8gb.... I understand for a lot of games 8gb is enough, but this really should come with 16 gb in 1 dimm

You're better off wait for the Lenovo y540 deals coming since they're rolling out it's replacement, the Legion 5. Better screen, 144hz, 1660ti. I've seen it for as low as 850 on eBay from Lenovo.

There are 2 dimm slots 1 is occupied with a 8GB DDR4 3200MHz stick expandable up to 32GB.They did this to keep the price down get another 8GB DDR4 3200MHz stick to run in dual channel 16GB is all you need for gaming.

I find it hard to believe that heat doesn't effect the logic boards or other hardware.
