check your local Marshalls, TJMaxx you may find a 10" lodge CI as I did 2 weeks ago for $12.
If you're making a campfire thick crust pizza, you may want a larger skillet.
Cooking 4 burgers on it at one time, you may want a larger skillet for flipping room.
When I don't feel like grilling (or the weather outside is frightful), I like cooking steaks in cast iron. I use my 12" for larger/multiple steaks (and my 10" for smaller ones).

Need another dutch oven for bread but I'll wait till it drops below $30 as I got my other lodge cast iron dutch oven for $30 some time ago.

I think the dutch oven that was $30 before was a 5 qt (I bought 2 at that price.), not the 2 qt they currently have for sale. So, I'd definitely wait.

Can someone provide real world examples of where a 12" skillet would be more useful than a 10"? Already have a 10" that handles everything I throw at it!

I was just able to add it to my cart without issue (for delivery, not for pick up). So maybe it's regional or maybe it goes in and out of stock.

If your family likes its bacon straight and flat, you can lay out a lot more strips on the 12" without curling them

Aside from the deal with the included GC, these seem like pretty average prices?

If you make quesadillas, you can fit two folded over burrito size tortillas in the 12"

I think skillet size is just kinda proportional to how many people you're cooking for. 1-2 people, the 10in should be fine. More then you just kinda go up in size
