Question on these pull chain style ceiling fans: can you completely cut off the pull chains and operate both the fan and the light via light switches and/or aftermarket remote/transmitter?

Can't say about this specific fan but I have bunch of fans with pull chains. I have never used the chains. I have these wired for two wall switches which work just fine.

I don't think it will work with the remote though. Remote usually have one hot wire going in. So you can either wire the fan or the light to work with the remote. I don't think both will work with remote. So I guess you can connect the remote with fan speeds and light switch on remote won't do anything.

You sure can. I have a different pull chain at home and it has separate fan and light wall switch. I imagine the remote transmitters connect and control the fan similarly to how separate wall switches do. If you want a remote, I would just get a fan that comes with it already to ensure compatibility.
