I love this light so much. I have a couple of the other lights, like the "octagon" shaped one you can plug in, and the M12 one. This one is my very favorite, I've used it for a hundred hours probably... crawling in crawl space, attic, doing renovations, vehicle work etc. I don't know why it gets mixed reviews sometimes because I think it's absolutely perfect with the swivel head, the strong magnet, and the clamp base.

I think I'll buy another...

I owned this light for a little bit, and the only qualm I have with it is that the new high output batteries are too long for it. Makes it impossible to use the magnetic mount. But if you have the older style batteries, this light is a great option.

Yup I own the m12 that I got for around this price and this looks to have some nice advantages so I'm grabbing one

Does this light flicker? I mean does it use PWM to control brightness? I get a headache when bright light uses PWM

I wish the hinge was on the other side. Currently, the articulating head is VERY limited when you stick it to metal surfaces.

I like mine a lot. I bought it a couple months ago for $110 I think? With a battery. Great light and for me and what I do for work, the magnet is nice. You need a surface that's the same footprint as the light for it to work well, so keep that in mind. The light overall is something like a 6inch cube

This M18 light gets Hot. I use these every day. Magnetically attaching to pallet rack cross beams while looking for and working on specific things up to 3 hours at a time. I don't like the hinge located at the magnetic base, it limits the swivel. the 8.0 and 12.0 batteries are too big to use the magnetic connection. The handles for these are a joke, small crammed and poorly placed. Can be difficult to remove the batteries if you are fat fingered.

Overall it's an awesome light for what it does. I can't live without it. Nothing else out there that has it's ability and mobility. Just wish Milwaukee would finally update the design with the flaws noted above. It's way past due.

All* my Milwaukee lights (both M12 and M18) are wonderful; even if expensive they are worth it.
I have the M12 version of this. If you are looking for a different style of M18, I recommend this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-...B078VHZLNC

I think retail is $79 but earlier this year some places had it for $59 bare tool. Looks like $72 now on AMZ. Not spectacular deal but an alternative if you are looking for one now. I've been using it working under a sink and it's nice that it has the angles you can just set it on the ground in the orientation you want. Honestly I use it on the "low" setting because full power under a sink is a bit too bright. Actually left it on for hours accidentally and was still going fine next time I checked. (oops, I should have turned it off)

*The exception to "wonderful" is the little "free" one you get bundled in with sets sometimes. That is the only M light I've had that is disappointing. Not terrible, mind you, but not nearly up to the standards set by their other lights. It gives the weird bluish "cheap LED" eerie light; not at all like the much more natural LED light from their much more expensive offerings.

I haven't experienced that with any of my M lights. I don't have this exact model, though (I have the similar one in M12, + a bunch of M18s of different styles). I know what you mean, though. I bought an HD headlamp on a Winter sale deal, and it was OK except at the low setting, and then I felt I was in some poorly-lit disco. It was unbearable! Fortunately I've never had anything like that with the Milwaukee lights. But it probably depends on you sensitivity to it because I believe almost all modern LED lights use PWM, it just depends on how well they do it, especially whether the rate is fast enough that you don't perceive it.

I'll say again I really love all my M12 and M18 lights, except for the little "free" one, but that's OK.

[snip]

I have 2361-20 which I really love using it day in and out. I specifically bought this light after reading a review indicating it does not use PWM. I have equipment to detect if any equipment are using PWM for brightness, but would like to avoid disappointment if possible.

With that said, I think the true value of Milwaukee LED lights are not only it's sturdiness and M18 compatibility, but also the quality of LED. I think this LED has the highest CRI I ever used.

Great price. Pretty much it cost this much on local sales apps or marketplace all the time. It beats having to meet up with someone. Milwaukee flashlight full msrps are outrageous.

How long does this run on high with a 5AH battery?

I only have the 5AH batteries but this would actually be really useful. Just feels like it might not run super long on them.
