I have a free mobile internet line (6gb) that T-mobile keeps trying to take away when I do one of these promos. I wonder if this add a line will be any different.
Really? I have one of those too and am wondering if I should do this tomm now. Don't really need it but can stick sim in my tablet or something lol

edit: nvm looks like its voice only so no data?

that's my thought as well. The G pad I got for free is getting long in the tooth so I was thinking of getting another cellular tablet at some point. However, I read that if you put a voice line sim into a tablet, speeds will be limited to 0.5 mbps. still worth trying though

As a new customer, do you have to run to a store to sign up for 2+1 today to get the 4th Free tomorrow? Can't you just sign up online today instead? TMO already closed here for today. . .

EDIT: I would be buying 3 new phones (not BYOD sim card)

Reading up on this thread and I think its voice only, no data. Can anyone confirm?

There is data, but for a regular phone line. Not a line for mobile internet like tablets or wearables.

If I'm on the free One Plus promo for my current 4 lines, will the promo also be applied to the new line?

Customer Support is hit and miss in my experience with actual knowledge, or just plead ignorance because they don't want to give free line. But.... I just got off the line with T-mobile and the CS rep told me that if I already have a free line (i.e. sign up today for 3 lines) I would not be eligible for the free line promotion starting tomorrow because you are not allowed to have more than 1 free line on your account. Obviously that last statement isn't true based on what everyone here has going for them, but I wonder if it's a stipulation of this new promotion - or was the rep just ignorant of it / didn't want to sell me less than 3 paid lines?! grr.. what to do what to do

Does anyone know if this can be applied to an existing line, or only for new ones? I have a Simple Choice family plan with 4 lines and wondering if one of those lines can be made free instead of opening up a 5th.

They never let you do that. makes no sense for them to

No, unfortunately the promotion doesn't work that way. T-Mobile wants to show more active lines and this is a way to do that. They'd rather pay for another "free" additional line than make one of your existing lines discounted. This is just my opinion but I think they're trying to bump up their subscriber line numbers.
