I was thinking the same thing. I don't need or want an extra line.
Have 4 lines and it would be nice to pay for 3 and get the 4th free.
No, the whole point is to foster customer retention while keeping the same revenue so they are tossing out additional lines and would never, use a promotion to subsidize your existing plan in that way.

I have 2 free lines from about 4 years ago the last time they offered something like this. It has been and still is free except for taxes and fees (because I pay taxes and fees on Simple Choice on all of my lines). They will not force you to pay extra money unless you violate the terms ie Cancel one of your paid lines down the line (I forget how long you cannot make changes to existing lines).
I recall last time TForce associate mentioned that I need to keep everything as-is after that promo.

So I take it, if I want to get this promo, then I will need to some "changes" (adding one free line) thus violating the previous agreement

You and use extra line as a Hot Spot or be a UBER/Lyft driver.

I am about to switch 4 lines from ATT. I would do it for $120 a month. Can anyone verify this (from Reddit)?:
... for new customers... "Get your first 3 lines on T-Mobile today/tonight (includes 3rd line free)... THEN grab your 4th free line tomorrow. For example, on T-Mobile Magenta, the 4 lines would be $120 total, and that includes all taxes/fees and a free Netflix account."

Is the extra free line voice only? If so any particular use for it? I have the One plan btw, so its unlimited data, but would that be included with this extra line?

I'm actually looking to add a new line for a real user in the near future which will require data, but I guess I can still do that when the time comes..

When we add the free line via T-Force, i wonder if they will make me pay for the sim card? $20? what about activation fee?

I wonder if i can just grab a sim card from ebay and just activate the line later.

Anyone know if we can add the free line while at Costco to purchase a phone outright as well? I have 2 lines on the simple choice plan, unlimited talk/text and 4G data. Want to get this third free line...

I chatted with TMO earlier today and they said if I ordered online I might not be considered a "existing customer" until the phones/sims arrived in the mail, i.e. after today. Was a CSR so take with a grain of salt, but I believed it and ran to Costco before they closed.
