How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

Per reddit thread:https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...ine_for_a/ [reddit.com]

Does that mean I can partake in any phone deals while adding this free line?
Sounds like it.

This promotion for the free line. They want to discourage what you are wanting to do, so it isn't something that is really done. I've personally had it done.. but it was more of a side effect, and it took years to fix my account to where it was supposed to be with all the promos that were messed up.
One of my nieces is paying $20 as an addl. paid line.

I would get her to cancel for a few hours then add the free line & she'll have to deal with a new number but she won't have to pay $20 monthly anymore.

But I do get what you are saying with messed up plans after changing things.

They took away all of my plan's kickbacks & I had to fight tooth & nail to get the 2 back for my parents who don't use data much outside their home.

That's opposite of what they would allow, so you're unlikely to find someone to make that work without a lot of headache and string pulling. If you cancel a line, you wouldn't be eligible for the new free line (without reactivating the old usually). Pretty sure that applies to cancelling a line too within a period, but unsure.

So I have a spare line that I have to keep due to the iPhone 11 on us promo for my monthly credits. When I have received all the credits i plan to cancel that line (another 15 months). Will it void this free line? I'm currently letting a relative use it as a hotspot.

I don't think it has been clear about any of the phone deals. If I add this line will it be eligible for the 50% off a phone for adding a line? Has anyone tried?

What would I do with a 5th line? Wish it would convert one of paid lines to free...

Create some offspring that can eventually use it, give it to someone in need, create a backup for your internet service in event of an outage.
