How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

Very interesting...
Did you sign up for an account before Friday, and get the extra free line after the promotion started on Friday?
I signed up with 3 lines on Thursday with the 3rd line free. I went ahead and added a 4th line. They said I can't get the 4th free with the 3rd line free plan.

I still see a lot of people wondering if their plan will work and thinking it will work because others said it has worked. When this deal initially started, the details were pretty vague and basically everyone thought all you needed was 2 active voice lines (paid) and you would get the 3rd line free regardless the plan. When the deal launched, reps were not fully prepared most didn't even know about the promo and those that did, did not know which plans were eligible so they just created lines for people (there's no promo code they add to give the promotion, the promotion is systematically/automatically added that's why you can even add a line yourself on my-tmobile and if you are eligible you will get it for free without having to call in). A day later we got a list of eligible plans directly from a T-mobile employee see here:
https://imgur.com/uLwq0iF

At this point if your plan is not on this list, you will NOT get the promo despite what an agent told you or you thought you read here. A lot of the plans are very similar and can differ by just 1 letter so it's very easy to get them confused. I personally was guaranteed multiple times that I would get the free promo and waited 24+ hours and did not receive the promo activation text and it did not show on my-tmobile under account. If you do not get these indicators you most likely are not eligible. The only other reason I can see causing a delay for others is if they did not have a SIM at the time of adding the line then it may take longer to show up. I did have a SIM on hand and still didn't get that confirmation that the promo was added. Also OP added a lot of helpful tips/feedbacks to the Wiki if you do not know your plan code, check the Wiki for instructions on how to get it and then check the master list of eligible plans. It's that simple now where before it was literally a cluster F. Hope this helps
Here's my update: I ended up cancelling my line after the next rep told me that my account is a promotional plan and is not eligible for the free line. I checked with them to see why I still don't have the promo listed on the new line and it's cause I am not on the list of eligible plans (from what I posted earlier but was hoping our plan was still eligible). So for those with 10SCFM4 (Simple Choice NA 10GB Family Match Promo Plan), you are not eligible and will not get the free line. At least I set up Tmobile Tuesday real quick to get the free stuff before I cancelled. Smilie

I signed up new customer 3 lines (3rd line on us) on Thursday evening as well at Costco. My 3rd line costco messed up on and wasn't even activated until after Midnight, but I guess they go by what time you make the order.

Went back to Costco on Saturday and got the new 2020 line on us and free sim. Had to use my own IMEI because rep didn't know how to get around that stipulation of Wireless Advocate's computer system. But anyways it worked. Im sure better WA reps don't have that problem.

Keep asking on T-Force, eventually they will say you are eligible, and to order your own sim and or phone and their system will correct things to the promo.

But I've been told by multiple reps that since I had 3 lines on Magenta, 2 paid, before this promo started, that I qualify 100%. One rep said nice timing for joining TMO on Thursday lol!

I ported in a phone number to avail of the iPhone 11 promo, I have a message on my T-Mobile account that says I need to contact their Transfer department. I have tried to reach out to the phone number given with no luck - on hold for 1hr each attempt. Anyone else run into this snag?

FYI I was going to do the iPhone 11 deal but hit a snag.

However I was able to port my GV number over.

I do want to know how to reach Executive Care now that John is gone?
what snag did you hit?

Anyone know if the free line credit would take care of autopay if the account has already maxed the $40 limit (8 lines * $5 ) ?

As others have mentioned, you can't remove any lines within 1 year or else you'll lose the free line. However, if you don't care about that, you can certainly go downsize to just 1 paid line at any time, giving up the other paid and free lines, if that's what you're asking.
Thank you all for the replies.

So if I need to downsize during the year, do I just lose the 3rd free line, or do I need to pay some retroactive monthly fee?

Lets say I downsize in 6 mos, (I am not under any phone contract), what happens, do I just cancel the 2 (1 paid and 1 free line) and that is it?

Does getting the 3rd line (I have 2 existing TMo lines) require a credit check?

For the Samsung BOGO offer, did you get taxed for both the phones or just 1 phone?

Is the iPhone 11 trade-in (w/port) deal still active? I can't find it anywhere on their site. Bonus points if you know whether I can do that deal via Costco.

Yeah I chatted with T-force yesterday and they said our plan (10SCFM4) is definitely not eligible. I was waiting to to hear from you and tobago_88 to see if you guys actually got the promo status but apparently not. So I didn't waste my spare sim card

They totally $0 to free line. Does not matter what is what. Mine is like that.
