How dare they try to make a one-time $30 in exchange for giving you a FREE line, Mr. Entitled.

This weekend, T-Mobile is giving away a FREE VOICE LINE! Any T-Mobile plan is eligible (even Simple Choice). New customers need to have two paid lines to get the free line. Current customers with at least two paid lines can just add a free line.

***This is an EXTREMELY RARE No-Stipulation Line (like the free lines offered back in 2016 & 2017...)

If you're new to T-Mobile and you'd like to stack this to get the 4 lines for $120 on the Magenta plan, which comes with a free Netflix account, you'll need to go to T-Mobile today/tonight (Thursday, June 25th) to start/port a 3-line account on the Magenta plan. T-Mobile is currently running a 3rd line free. All 3 lines will be $120, which includes tax.

THEN....

Starting tomorrow, Friday, June 26th, you can add a 4th line to your plan for FREE! This will give you 4 lines on the T-Mobile Magenta plan, which comes with all taxes/fees, unlimited data and a free Netflix account, for $120. IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS... GO TO T-MOBILE NOW TO START THE 3-LINE DEAL FIRST.... DO NOT SIGN UP FOR FOUR LINES THINKING THE 4TH LINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE FREE TOMORROW... IT WON'T. 3 lines TODAY, 1 line TOMORROW!

As always, start-up fees may or may not be charged, and can come to $10 per SIM and $20 per activation per line. Ask to see if any of these may be waived.

Details about the 4th line free will be on the website tomorrow (Friday, June 26th), but don't wait to start the first 3 lines today/tonight!

When I called they denied the free line because I need to add another line. Is it true?
Do you have at least two paid lines already?

Minimum of 2 paid lines, and an eligible plan. if you meet the requirements from the wiki, call again.
Thank you. I will. The rep told me the document clearly says that I need to add a paid line first in order to qualify for a free line.

Yeah, that specific rep is likely reading the wrong promo. Ask for the free line per Doc 20Q23.

If you know your plan qualifies, just add a line yourself at my.t-mobile.com. The reps don't do anything differently.

You must keep all lines on the account for 1 year. After one year, you must maintain the free line and 2 paid lines on the account. So in a year, you can drop any lines you want to get to 3 lines (2 paid, 1 free).

You will, however, want to be careful. Depending on your plan setup now, dropping a certain number of lines may result in a plan change, which will likely remove your free line credit. You may be able to get it reinstated if you discuss with T-Force. I'd contact them first to run it by them before you drop lines to be sure you have it in writing in case anything goes wrong.

T-Mobile never clearly outlines the terms to the consumer. Chat with T-Force and ask about the specific terms of the promotion. It's the only way you'll get a straight answer.
To clarify: keep existing lines at the time you added the free line correct? For example, Now I have 3 paid (1,2,3) and 4th line (free 2020 promo). In Sept, I will add 5th line (paid). In October, I want to cancel that 5th line (paid) will I then lose 4th line (free)? Thanks

You'll start paying for the free line if you cancel any lines within 12 months.

I'm not joshy, but I play one on TV. I've been told that subsequent line adds and cancellations won't effect promos as long as the existing lines AT THE TIME THE PROMO was activated remain intact. That said, having spent so much unpaid time troubleshooting my TMO account, I'd advise simply going PAYGO for any temporary line, keeping it the hell away from your heavily promo'd account.

Are you sure about this? I called tmobile a while back and they said you could only have 2 lines. I need a line for my child and I can't switch unless I can get 3 lines. I'm on Simple choice 2gb a line atm, $90 total.
I have 3 lines on my 55+ plan. I took my father to tmobile and they opened up the account in his name and I added a second line for myself. Since I'm paying the bill I log onto the account and would see add another line for just $20 which I did to get an Iphone 11. Right now not including the two installments for $36 my monthly bill is $90 for 3 unlimited lines.

😅

Rep for giving me a good chuckle.

And yeah, from my understanding, the stipulation applies only to lines on the account prior to the addition of the promo. Lines after shouldn't be affected. However, I have no experience with this exact scenario, so can't say definitively.

Yes, after 12 months you may cancel a line.

I too have received some conflicting information about the terms and conditions regarding the free line.
Are there T&C anywhere one can share? I cannot see this deal on my portal but am eligible.

If I understand correct, for the first 12 mos, the requirement is to keep the existing paid lines in order to maintain the free line, and then??

After 12 mos, I can downgrade to 1 paid and I still get to keep one free line?

Thank you
I think you will have to always maintain at least two paid lines in order to keep the free line promo.

1 line per account. I spoke to them and they can't stack or some people claimed like they got two free lines.
Those who are claiming they got 2 free lines have not provided screenshot of how they look like. I am wondering once they see charges for the 2nd line and if they cancel that line might also drop the free line.
