Apparently, Amazon is using some technical measure to control availability of STAGE 1 (definitely) and STAGE 2 (possibly). They are in and out throughout the day randomly since yesterday (6/25). I got all three by refreshing stocks every few seconds....

The best way to refresh is to click "See All Buying Options" in your Amazon App regularly. Once a while, the Amazon Prime option ($329 for Stage 1) will show up there. It won't show up on the main page and stock tracking sites like NowInStock doesn't seem to be capable of capturing the availability. This has been going on since yesterday. You really do need to refresh manually all the time, if you are desperate to grab them. Website seems much less reliable than the app - many a time I see "Add to Cart" button on the website, but unable to do so. App reflects real availability more accurately.

I believe there are 2 Elites. The expandable pre-2019 Elite USA made and the new 2020 Elite EXP (China made). I think they are now using a less dense metal because the china elite plates are taller than the USA made Elite plates. See the picture taken by one of the amazon reviewers. I will post it here on this thread.

I just got the elite USA version last week. It's not clear if these are compatible or not. Product names are a bit confusing tbh. based in the images and cut, I think these work but their website specifically says will not work with Elite EXP models but I don't even see those models for sale. 🤷

also, not seeing stage 2 available to purchase as backorder.

Any word on if powerblock is going to do the pre-2020 model stage 3 expansions again or am I SOL? My stage 2's just aren't cutting it for every exercise

Facing same problem and contemplating Stage 3 Elite Exp 2020 for my old Elite US. The very first Top Review for it states it fits older Elite. Just sticks out a little. Check the pictures.
I highly doubt they will be making expansion for the original ones again.

Checked again and was able to order the stage 2. Fingers crossed it's compatible with my set. We'll see

I can't even find stage 1 anywhere. been on the waitlist on the powerblock website for a while and have not seen any for sale other than the 5-50's posted here a few weeks ago (should have jumped on it instead of waiting for the 5-90s) so frustrating

They aren't from what I read on Powerblocks website. I got the elite two weeks ago with the expansion up to 90. They will be here tomorrow.


Edit How I read " NOT compatible with Elite EXP 2020 Model." for the USA elite expansions
