Why don't they show a screenshot of bag contents?

A better route might be buying grass seed from a local source and germinating it in a paint strainer bag in a 5 gallon bucket of water. See YouTube for videos. This method yields much higher germination percentage and you don't have to fight the elements outside and be constantly watering the seeds.

Good luck

Bag Contents and Breakdown
• Fertilizer: Features a 13-0-0 NPK analysis (13% nitrogen, 0% phosphorus, 0% potassium) to feed seedlings and speed up growth.
• Grass Seed Varieties (Sun & Shade Mix): Contains a mix of Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, creeping red fescue, and chewings fescue.
• Other Components: Minor percentages of other crop seeds and weed seeds (typically under 0.3%) as standard in commercial seed mixes.
• What's NOT inside: Unlike Scotts EZ Seed, Rapid Grass does not contain a high volume of mulch or coir paper packaging; it is a direct seed-and-fertilizer combinati

Uncoated, if curious. I tend to prefer coated seeds simply because the birds don't touch them.

Very much in agreement with the above. Buying local at least allows you to inspect the bag and make sure your product is fresh. Also, this deal is for a "Northern Formula". If I used this here in FL it might grow over the winter months, but as soon as the heat returned it would probably burn out and die.

Good price, but too late to sow seeds in NY. Cold weather and cold soil will make for poor germination. Not to mention it is difficult to water the seeds regularly when night time temps could drop into the 30's. I guess you could buy it now for next spring, but better to wait and get a fresher batch of seeds.

Works fine. When we moved in our lawn was horrifically patchy, this and some additional topsoil helped a lot. This is a decent price. If you want it faster and local Home Depot also has it discounted rn.

"WHAT?! You want me to put Bermuda grass in a continental climate that's a six on the Beaufort scale in a park with zero drainage?! I want you to give me Kentucky bluegrass, I want a 10% discount, and I want you to APOLOGIZE to my best friend Donna!!"

Do you by chance know if it would work over the "winter" months in SWFL? It would be in a yard used by 5 dogs, so eventually redoing the yard is all least a given, but right now it's all weeds, and if i were to pull them it would just be dirt/sand which gets tracked too easily😅

Typically you will see many just overseeding with rye. It will burn out in the summer heat, so it is not a permanent solution. It can also be a bit of a pain if you also have trees which require you to rake the leaves. People use it because it does not interfere with their main turf while it is dormant.

You may want to take the opportunity to spray for weeds, something with 2,4-D, dimethylamine salt, and spray for bugs if you can. With the dogs that may be tough unless you can do something to keep them out of the areas being treated for a few days at a time. Afterwards you could look at seeding something more permanent like a Bahia variety.

If you have a local Ace Hardware you could look to see what they carry for seed. Then when Black Friday hits you can use their 50% coupon for account holders to knock down the price. You probably will not need more than 3 or 5 pounds.
