I plan to put it on the concrete floor of my garage to reduce slippage for my treadmill and a weight machine. I don't need anything terribly thick, just grippy. This is perfect.
Fresh rubber is a lot stronger. If you can open the bag and let it breathe in the garage or better outside for a few weeks, a LOT of that fades. You don't want rubber matting in your living room.
This is anti skid flooring only at best. It has a very limited purpose. At 1/8 of an in, it will not protect concrete from weights, it could tear from movement of heavy objects, and is likely to fold in the middle instead of lay flat if you DO move on it.
For it's use case, you're probably far better off getting anti-skid adhesive feet for whatever you planned to put on top of it.
If you go to tractor supply, they sell horse stall flooring. It's VERY thick and heavy vulcanized rubber (think shredded tires compressed and remelted together). you can drop an olympic bar on it and they use it a lot in professional gyms. It's very affordable, durable, cushy, and stable.
This one is OOS already anyways.
