According to the camel's of the 3, it's been about $1,300 on Amazon
Lamp life is largely dependent on how much you love it.
I was going to post this. Great deal!

I bought it for $1299 (sale price in February) for the super bowl.

I did research for 2-3 months and this was the best deal for 4K resolution and lumens. You could do A LOT worse in the $999 range.

Blackout curtains will definitely will optimize the experience though it's not totally necessary.

Looks like a lot of really great reviews for this. I just did a brief search and there are multiple retailers selling it at this price point. Can anyone who may have been following this product comment on regular pricing?

I would honestly love this projector. I haven't had experience with a 4K projector yet and only just upgraded my 1080p model to replace my main TV. If I had my way, this would be more of a priority item but my wife has other ideas that tend to be far more financially responsible lol. This looks like a great option for someone looking to dive into the world of mid-range projector options

I currently have a BenQ HT2150ST and would like to upgrade from 1080p to 4k. However I only have my current projector about 5-6 feet from the screen. This isn't a short throw right? What is my best option for a short throw 4k projector with decent response time for gaming? It's in a basement with very little light and I watch movies and play games. Thank you for any advice.

I'm in the same boat and I haven't found a projector upgrade that's the same throw ratio so you'll have to change the placement unless someone comes out with something else. If you can't move it any further away then you'll have to start looking at the ultra short throw 4k projectors that are less than 3ft away from the screen and/or right up against the wall.

Seems like this Score Mighty sells all benq projectors at the same prices you can find at bestbuy.com and b&h.com.; and it's fulfilled by amazon.

Does that sound bad to you? That's honestly on the high side in my experience.

The better question is how much does a replacement bulb cost.

With a projector this new/expensive it's not as much of an issue but I've owned projectors that were worth less than the new bulb by the time the bulb died --and I still own them and they are in my attic because they are effectively worthless for anything other than parts.
