It's for pegging.
The fact that you called them cords shows you don't get how useful something like this can be to someone that plays a lot. Also, you misspelled breaking.

Thanks, for 11-bucks I'll give it a try. I was thinking of getting a cordless drill adapter and this is about the same price so, if anything, it saves me a trip to the garage.

It's a guitar string winder tool, I typically restring a guitar once a year, and I use one of those cheap yellow plastic wind up tools and if you know how they work the slot for the pegs (I forget what they're called) is so big that it slides around and gets caught on the nearby peg and can get annoying. But even that re stringing a guitar takes me 5-10 minutes. This would probably cut that time in half. Hmmm 🤔

Seems like a lot of reviews people say it doesn't last very long and that it's very delicate and brittle. I also think it's possible there's people out there who don't understand the concept of "gentle" and probably think this is no different than an industrial electric drill and go ham and then complain that it broke.

And depending on the quality of your guitar pegs, some are easier than others to spin, some older worn out guitars are really firm and it's possible that this isn't very powerful to wind up the pegs without breaking or over heating. Things to take into consideration.

Someone said there's a peg attachment you can get for a drill. That would be probably a better idea
