Pls Support local small shops, many people retain their jobs☺️

Amex offering this after a long time may be last time they offer like 6+ years back to use upto 3 times .. best deal from Amex !!

So does it work on gift cards or not? Buy $10x10 and only end up paying $50 in the end? I wonder if small businesses like convenient stores even carry all those gift cards like Amazon, EBay, etc

My transactions haven't fully cleared, but I've yet to receive credits for any of my local purchases. Can they only be at places I haven't shopped before on my AmEx?

it can be from any amex small business whether you shop there before or not does not matter

In the past I got an email saying that I had revived the credit. This time I got the email after 2-3 says of the purchase

Isn't a $10 purchase a $10 purchase? You think Amex will send someone out to the store to investigate what the $10 was spent on? Don't need a PhD in "Making $10 Purchases" contrary to popular belief in this thread.

Lol I forgot it shows just business name on CC charge. I guess I have to go find some small businesses. Maybe break it up and do 5 at one and 5 at other!

The map does not work all the time. Pretty much all small businesses near me qualified when I last checked, but almost none did a day before.

I think for the map to work for me, I was logged into my amex account and checked using the map link in the Amex offer. Then when I searched by business name, pretty much every place that's a small business qualified.

My local supermarket was on the list and I received the $5 credit one day after I made my purchase Smilie I did not receive an email confirmation though.

if a small business is selling it's own gcs then it is likely to work no problem. but if you see dozens of different gcs, it is possible someone else is selling those gcs inside the store. buy anything else in the store and the merchant name is MAINSTREET-SMALL-BUSINESS-INC which qualifies but if you buy a gcs off the 3rd party rack, the purchase might come thru as MAINSTREET-GIFTCARD-SERVICES which may not qualify. unless you know for sure, gotta check it out because this is possible when it comes to gcs; this has been known to happen.

Same here. I submitted a "suggest an edit" with American Express. Selected "incorrect business information" and wrote to them that the business doesn't accept American Express so hopefully the list gets updated.

I think the offer is on all the cards. You can save it once per name/SS# on your credit cards and once more if you have Serve or Bluebird. For example, I saved the offer twice. Once on my Blue Cash Preferred credit card and once on my Serve card. Technically I think it is once per name/SS# period, but some are able to save it more than that, but if you do you have to be prepared if they decide at a later date to take your credits back if you saved on more than one card.

From their official terms:

Limit of 1 enrolled Card per Card Member. Your enrollment of an eligible Card for this offer extends only to that Card. After you enroll an eligible Card, you will not be able to enroll a second eligible Card that you may have.

I purchased some food from a local business yesterday that takes Amex but isn't on the list. Hope I get the credit as well.
