I have this model. It's not very good. I've stopped using them. They have strong magnification but poor clarity and focus.

Are you thinking of like a tripod adapter ? If so, that's one of the purchase configuration options available, whether or not to include a tripod and/or other things.

This product average price is around $65. I don't think it has ever been $100

This is not a deal.

I bought this product a few months ago from Amazon for $65 and I returned them. I have a much older pair of the same binoculars, which I was looking to replace as the rubber around the eye turned sticky. The new pair is not of the same quality; both in weight, feel and optics. Terrible.

Poor quality. I would stay far far away from these.

we got the 15x70 from amazon warehouse like 5 years ago, with tripod adapter included. Used them a couple of times but they were kinda meh. Thought it would be cooler than it was tbh. recommend you save your money unless you know exactly what you need/want and this is it.

edit: paid $35 from amazon warehouse

I paid $80 for the 20X80 pair. They have built in metal tripod adapter. (they have heavy).

They are okay but nothing special. Mine were aligned well. Four moons of Jupiter are visible (as one would suspect). Can pick out a few double stars. I find star field watching a lot more fun with binoculars.

If you've ever looked through a pair of good binoculars [Steiner M2080 would set you back $1700 so they are way different price points thus no direct relationship] you might be disappointed, but if not, there is an fun factor for a while until you realize how heavy they are. They will get a lot of shelf time, but cheap enough to keep for guests and such.

By the way, keep the box. Celestron will most likely deny the warranty service if you mail it without original box. Likewise, if you don't claim any alignment/collimation issues in the first month they will assume you caused the misalignment.

90 day average has been about $75 so this isn't a deal at all. Congrats on your first post

I used 3 before, not the same but similar models. What I noticed is that the more magnification you get, the less stable it gets unless you get a tripod. I finally decided to stick with 8x zoom as it provided enough zoom and stability without the need for tripod. This one is 25x zoom, so, I'd definitely recommend a tripod along with this. Just my 2 cents...

As some have mentioned...these are just OK at best. I bought this 5 years ago, Jan 2015, for $50 and think they're not worth much more than that.
This item on Amazon and it is the same [amazon.com]

Definitely need a tripod or monopod to keep steady
