Pretty great deal if you need 48" lengths in the future - typically $29.99
Temporarily oversold, but Rockler is still allowing you to reserve at this price

Agreed, I picked this stuff [amazon.com] up when it was even cheaper ($45) and it's functionally just as good as my Rockler stuff.

I prefer this over Orange Aluminum stuff which is 1/2" deep vs the standard 3/8"
The thumbnail image and title do nothing for me. An explanation of what this is and what it's used for so I can convince myself I need to buy something I've never even heard of up until this point would be much appreciated on posts like these 😂
It is for making jigs and fixtures for woodworking. They allow you to clamp things to a flat surface without the need for a vise. Or you can put them in a tabletop such as this:

https://www.rockler.com/rockler-t...-table-top

You would need a router with an appropriately sized bit, or a dado stack for your table saw to make the groove. They measure 3/4 inch wide by 3/8 in ch deep.

These are easy to cut if you need a different length too.

Got it a few weeks ago but returned it, Amazon has cheaper alternatives that work as well, especially If you need intersection kits

Seeking creative advise: I'm setting up an inexpensive awning for RV/Trailer. Junkyard/Craigslist/marketplace... yes yes yes. But I was wondering if a few of these could be good alternative to rails like... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C04E....Eb1GRQW4E. That are so much more expensive.

Problem: I don't see t-track-style vinyl strip insert to stitch material to (the round vinyl for above rail is readily available). Has anyone ever seen such a product? It should come in feet and feet of length and slide the entire track length. Less ideal as it would let in water... but I could use t-style eye hooks every foot or so for the 10ish feet wide I want to make this.

Is this the same type of tracks used on Kayaks?
e.g. https://www.perceptionkayaks.com/...edal-kayak
My kayak comes with plastic tracks, and I very much want to replace them with aluminum ones.
