It's a good enough deal at $12 if you want to play it. The historical low was 8.99, but if you want to wait for a better sale you might be waiting a while.

Mad Verse City is the clear star of this game, with the original You Don't Know Jack as a close second. Patently Stupid has its moments as long as you have the right friends (which is true for most of the Jackbox games). Split the Room is just alright: they really want this to be a massive group game. Zeeple Dome isn't great because it doesn't feel like a Jackbox game, but it's not horrible. Overall, one of the best Jackboxes, and this price is insane.
Also also, people aren't going to mention JYDGE, but it's a damn fine isometric shooter that has a solid upgrade system. It's the antithesis to Neon Chrome (same dev), and this makes the whole thing a great, it strange, combo deal.
How hard is this to set up remotely to play with tech illiterate friends? Can I do most of the work or do they need some set up too?
You just need a client that supports screen share such as zoom or google meet. You, as the host, need to have the game and share your screen with those in your video call. All they need is the video calling client and a phone to enter the code on the website. They could also use the browser on their desktop/laptop.
Just to go against the grain, as almost everyone goes and posts recommending this as second to best to 3. I personally don't think 5 is that great.
The trivia is okay, but nothing to write home about compared to the other jackbox trivias.
I find split the room and zeeple dome to be complete duds.
Mad verse city is also meh, just a combo of madlibs and rhyming.
Patently stupid is my favorite, but takes a lot of effort and really asks a lot in terms of creativity of the players to be good.
I got this a while back for ~$10ish and I hardly play it, more like I reluctantly cycle through it in the rotation.

I didn't think this pack was all that great either, but my rankings are quite different. Split-the-room, for me, was the clear winner. Mad verse city is amazing when played with really clever people, but I am not one of those people so I always feel quite dumb. Patently stupid was OK, but too drawn out (no pun intended) in my opinion. I guess these really do come down to personal taste. Except Zeeple Dome. That, we can all agree, was horrendous.

3 basically for Tee K.O. alone.
