Ok, I'm going to try to explain this deal as best as I can.
So I was bummed that my Simple Choice plan on T-mobile didn't qualify for the iPhone 11 on us deal at T-Mobile that required a trade-in, new line and port in.
They offered me the usual 50% off iPhone SE or OnePlus 8, etc but wasn't worth it for me. Then I noticed while browsing other deals I qualified for, they had the OnePlus 7T for $350 off with new line activation (no trade-in required).
The phone is $499.99 new, so with the $350 off, it comes out to $149.99, with tax on the original price.
The reason why it's YMMV is because anywhere online, I wasn't able to buy the phone. Instead of a purchase button, there was a "call 1-800-tmobile" button. Spoke to customer service and they said the phone is out of stock, don't know if they're ever going to restock since it's an older model phone (which is ridiculous because it only came out last September).
But then they said that if any of my local T-Mobile stores had them, I could go in and purchase it there and still take advantage of the deal. And I tripled checked to make sure that even though I added the free line over the weekend (with the crazy free line offer everyone should already know about), that the line would still qualify as the "with new line activation" needed for the OnePlus 7T offer. They said yes, I took screenshots. So I called 4 T-Mobiles around me, none had it, the 5th store I called had one in stock. Drove there just now and bought it.
Paid a little over $44 for the tax, the rest is financed via EIP. So the $499.99 financed, T-Mobile should be giving me a $350 credit on that, bringing the total for the phone to $149.99 plus $44ish tax.
Of course, you have to pay every month for 24 months, but customer service also said you can pay off the phone early and the credit will be taken off your bills every month until the 24 months is over (in case you wanna sell the phone).
The phone is a beast and a steal at this price. Here are the specs:

**Just want to edit to confirm that even if you didn't add a free line yet, that promotion is still going on as well, so basically you can add that free line then purchase this phone with that added line all at the same time.

Sorry, to clarify I called them and then chatted with them for more details and so that I could have written proof. Here's the screenshot if it helps you! (Adding it to the post)
