Mine is also a Navien 240. No issues with it 2+ years in.

Nice. You got the recirc? Love that thing! Never would have thought much about it until I had it. It's game changing to have instant hot water when you turn on your faucet. My furthest bathroom takes nearly 2 minutes or so to get hot. That's a ton of water wasted counting the number of times we have to use it. It's now near 0 water waste simply waiting for it to get hot.

Thought about a tankless but opted for a Rheem Hybrid instead. Easy to self install and it's averaging only 1-2kWh per day, about $3-$6 per month.

I'm going to guesstimate $1-1.5k. Whoever got a $500 quote is crazy.
I'm a plumber and we would probably bill 4 hours to do this at $85 an hour ($340) plus maybe another $50 in parts tops. $500 is perfectly reasonable.

How long is HD taking from the time of order to ship these? It's been three days and mine is still showing "order received."

The required 3" pvc sch40 would cost you $50. That's not including the vent termination, isolating valves. Hahha, 3/4 gas line @ 2' is $40.

So....I have 2, 50 gallon water heaters...one of which the motor just went out (home built in 2007), in Northern IL. Thoughts on replacing those with one of these? 3 people in the home, 1 really big tub (hence the 2 water heaters)...Thanks for any info, was quoted 1400 to replace one of the water heaters today by plumber who inspected it-
