This decent? I've been wanting g to get a soundbar/subwoofer setup at $100 for a while. Going to be used in the family room tv that plays video games mostly but sometimes tv.

Okay for mixed usage. This soundbar will perform better with stereo content like audiobooks, podcasts, and some music genres. However, it lacks a bit of sub-bass, meaning it doesn't perform well with bass-heavy music. Movies might be a bit disappointing too due to the lack of punch, but also since the bar doesn't have height channels and doesn't support Atmos. Overall, the Alto 7 Plus will do better on stereo content that doesn't have too much bass thanks to a relatively neutral audio reproduction....This soundbar has very limited sound enhancement features [can't adjust treble, bass, or subwoofer levels]. It only has a dialogue enhancement, which comes from the 'News' preset of the soundbar to help make voices clearer. You can also choose between Music and Movie mode, but that's about it.

PROS
Good overall sound profile.
Good for dialogue content.
Well-built design.

CONS
No DTS support.
Lacks bass.
Doesn't perform that well at max volume.

To each their own but I think wireless subs are iffy at best when it comes to reliable connections. Pretty sure this is a mediocre set up. But than again I'm running an Andrew Jones sub on a Yamaha 1080.

I've got a Sony with a wireless sub and it's been fine. Pretty good bass on it too.

Thanks. Obviously for $100 you can't be too picky. Bass is something I would at least want it to be decent so I may pass on this.

Right on. I suppose it depends on the distance from the set up. Some like the subs rattling their a— behind the couch which can be far from the placement of the bar/tv and lose connection. I have the sub next to the bar myself but if I needed some distance I'd be running wire, which I'm not a big fan of doing. Just don't trust the wireless sub and don't wanna deal with crap if it goes down.

Is the Yamaha deal still around for about this price? I've had a Yamaha for a couple of years and been very happy with it.

Ya maybe I've got a good set. I got it used a while back. The sub is behind the couch probably 10 feet from the soundbar. Never been an issue.

Thumbs up and ordered.
Mine would be mounted under a light switch so not comfortable drilling as not sure if I could potentially hit a wire. I removed the switch panel and everything is boxed in.

What would best be used to keep the mount kit to the wall without drilling? Gorilla mount tape or velcro?
