The Bip seemed better.
$59 on sale and up to 45 day battery life
In general it's difficult to avoid products partially made in China. But the tech is owned by China in this case as well.
Been wearing my Amazfit Bip for over two years now after my Pebble gave out. Got it for $59 and been very happy.

I bought one earlier this year and it's worth $30, but it has its limitations and quirks. Like, it always underestimates actual distance traveled, using my phone's GPS (I compare it to Endomondo, which is spot-on), yet occasionally jumps a quarter to half mile or more after being paused during a rest stop. And occasionally loses connection with my phone despite being right next to it, ending the workout. But, at $30, I can live with it. I just wish I could upgrade the firmware, like you can with most bargain routers.
It's decent as an extension of your phone, as in notifying you when you receive phone calls, texts, and supported apps, such as viber. It also gives you weather, steps, heart rate, and calories burned. There's a myriad of watchfaces to choose from if you use 3rd party apps. It also has a couple of useful apps on the watch itself, like timer and countdown. Other than that, there's nothing special in terms of features, especially if not connected to your phone.
3rd party support in Android OS is much much better than iOS. A couple of 3rd party apps add features to the watch, such as music control, receiving notifications from any app, and allow a bit of tinkering to add special characters and emojis when displaying texts on the watch. The accents display is a god send if you speak a language that has them.
The main selling point of the bip is its super long battery life since it uses an e-ink-like display, which also allows reading the screen in direct sunlight pretty effortlessly because the brighter it is, the clearer the characters on the display are.
With the GTS, you're trading long battery life for a nice AMOLED screen with small bezels. The bezels on the bip are huge.
