These Fender made-in-Japan Gretsch guitars are really, really great: workmanship as as good as you'll find on any new factory electric. Great guitars; I can't recommend them enough.

Should I even consider getting this without a Jack Plate?

Would buy one at $700.
Then look at the electromatic line. These are worth every bit of what they ask for them.

These are chambered mahogany bodies with a maple top. Great deal BTW.

Where's it made? They don't say and it's always annoying.
Edit: Japan

(I wanted to add: that's a bargain price, as well. The only caveat: they don't resell as well as, say, Fender American guitars, but as a musician, buying guitars for resale value makes no sense to me...))

If I knew how to play I'd be broke. Seems like there is a good deal on a guitar every other week on SD.

Is the groupies' thing true? I might invest in one if it is real.

Better than a post 2012 American made Gibson. Uses real wood too.
