Not sure why all the complaints about this tea, but I've been literally drinking this very tea every day for over 5 years. I mix this 1:1 ratio with water and pour it into a 1L water bottle, then drink this until noon. In the PM I mix another one and drink it by the time I get off work. That way I get 2L of liquids in me during work, and a steady stream of non-spikey caffeine intake as well. I love the taste of this tea, and I tried the one in Japan and can't tell much the difference. I also tried the variants like the bold green tea, jasmine, and golden oolong and still like this particular flavor the most.
The deal is good.
But I tried this drink before and was not impressed. Tasted just like strong brewed tea. Don't know what I was expecting, as it just what this drink is.

LMAO if it's too strong, you can add water. you're right though that you can just get green tea and make this yourself. it is really good and refreshing though especially on a hot summer day.

So did I.

But the world in which we paid that low of a price no longer exists.

This is made in Taiwan, and getting it here will become more and more difficult. I imagine the only reason this is still just over $1/bottle is because of still-extant inventory in the US. Unless production shifts to the US for the US market, this will become more difficult to obtain, at any price, for the foreseeable future.

Yeah I really don't understand the appeal of this tea. It's VERY popular but it tastes like cheap tea that's been over-steeped. I'd even go as far as to say it's bad tea. You can brew better stuff with dollar store tea bags, which might as well be twigs. And if you're not in it solely for convenience, buy loose leaf Japanese tea sencha or whatever you can afford, and after brewing just refrigerate it for like up to a week. Very good quality green tea actually brews green, it's pretty odd, and it is naturally a bit sweet.

Now Im missing being able to go to my local liquidation store and pick these up for $6-7. I even got the extra strong one in 64?oz bottles once. I forget what it's called but the extra strong one is great.

Maybe a bit more work, but for those of you who shop at Walmart and use ibotta, there is a 1$ ibotta rebate on these with a limit of 5 (though seems they have been renewing it often, I did it the other week and it popped up on mine again soon after and is still there) . They're in the asian foods section of the store, and cost 1.62 if I'm remembering correctly. So that's only .62 a piece after the rebate. Just thought I'd share. They had the jasmine green and regular green at mine. Both unsweetened.
