The electric pressure cookers are much safer and easier to use than previous generations of the metal pressure cookers with the floating/rocking knobs on the top; with that said, the Instant pot does not generate enough pressure to use for canning/processing. That's about the only limitation of the electric pressure cooker.

wrong, not duo nova! Last time the regular old model was 50$.
I have the regular one. Duo nova has blue display and old one has red digital display on black background. This is the only difference as far as I know. Some people say red digits are more visible than blue display when you try to see the display from a distance.
