Really a shame that Arrow doesn't support Movies Anywhere. Good prices, but I don't want to deal with the Apple platform.
4K restoration does not mean 4K release. It usually means they use a 4K process to create a new digital master from the film. So, they could likely use it for a 4K release, but there have been many Blu-rays based on 4K remasters.

Hmm, the Donnie Darko description text says 4k, but Apple says HD.

"This brand-new 4K restoration, carried out exclusively for this release by Arrow Video, allows a modern classic to finally receive the home video treatment it deserves."

BTW, I loved the original release (at the time, not sure if I still would) but the theatrical re-release Director's Cut was very disappointing. They re-cut it and added on-screen text that took away a ton of the ambiguity and charm, imo. The "iTunes Extras" section, when viewed in iTunes, says it contains over 6 hours of bonus material including "the special Director's Cut of the film to go along with the theatrical version"... so it sounds like it has both. Whew.

Now this is a sale. IMO $4.99 should be the regular price.
Too bad I already own Re-animator, the only one I care to own.

It looks like more from Arrow than the above listed titles are on sale, possibly the rest of their catalog on iTunes.

Wow, that's a hell of a price for some cool deep-cut cult films. Sucks that it's Apple only.

Brain Damage is a classic Henenlotter film. For $3, it's a no-brainer (heyoooo).

Looks like a great deal but to show my lack of culture. I am only familiar with Donnie Darko... Need some help navigating these waters. What are some of the better/recommended ones?

Surprised this wasn't noticed. I picked up about 10 giallos that weren't listed above, all on sale.
