Why do you love it? Try any other apps before giving your input or is this the only app you've tried that works for your needs?

Is very popular app , that's said the 50% discount runs at least once a year

I LOVE this app. I am an avid hiker and it's the only app I use. I just walked in the door from a trip to Asheville and used it to find every trail I hiked. There are several things I really like about it - the downloadable maps, the live tracking when you're on the trail, the user reviews (though some are a waste of time, there have been a few that have really saved my behind as far as parking or finding the actual trailhead goes), the live recording and the directions. I use it on every hiking trip I take. For me, it's the easiest way to find trails nearby that fit my parameters which are usually moderate or hard between 4-10 miles. It's well worth the $14.99 if you're an avid hiker.

I also use this app a lot, but only the free version. The free version seems to do everything I need. I don't see a big benefit in paying for the pro version.

I wish I had bought the lifetime plan before they discontinued it. Please bring it back!

The majority of us avid hikers here in the west/nw don't use a app, especially since no cell coverage. Best place for up to date info is the ranger station.

Guess what, this app works offline as well.

No place I've hike in the last three months has had cell service, including the Badlands, the Black Hills or the trails outside of Asheville. The map feature on the map works via GPS, not cell service.

Do you really need a app for hiking with trails being so visible? I guess some do. Seems like a millennial thing.

Lots of people taking up more outdoors activities as well as strolls through nature, most deciding to hit the trails are not familiar with reading trail markers or trail maps. It's a good app that provides some comfort to those nervous of venturing out further into the woods in real time.

As an avid hiker you would know this though, right...

Been backpacking for decades and never felt nervous hitting any trail. If you can't follow a trail, don't hike alone or stick with your local park. Since you need it, all good.

So much condescending passive aggressiveness. Obviously a boomer. We're so impressed by you, it's so cool that you look down on people going the extra mile for safety...right on tough guy!
