Disclaimer: I have Kindle Unlimited, with which each of these books are included.

The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell by Robert Dugoni was a really good book.

The Vanishing Season is book four of a four book series by Dot Hutchison, and is one of the greatest series of books I've ever read. Very dark, but so well written, great characters, and just incredible...can't recommend enough.

Lines of Departure by Marko Kloos is the second in a series of 6 (just noticed book seven is due out later this year). This is also fantastic, very well written, and if you like space/military sci-fi, you may likely enjoy these.

It's gems like these that make KU so worthwhile to me. I definitely get my $10/worth out of the program. Obviously, every book in KU is great, or even good, but hey, every show on Netflix isn't great either.

Yes! The Vanishing Season is the only book of the Collector series that I haven't read yet. Butterfly Garden was my favorite, and they are all great books. Thanks for mentioning this one as it reminded me to download it.

Prices range from $1 - $5 with most being $2 - $3 after the discount.

Seems weak for a very specific set of Amazon published books.

Thanks for the recommendations. I had some no rush credits as well, so I was able to get book 1 and 2 of the Frontlines series (Lines of Departure) for free.

Ah, it's the periodic $3 sale on Amazon published books that they structure to make it sound like it's a free credit.

These are all Kindle Unlimited titles .
So if you haven't already used the KU Free Trial offer, do that before spending actual money on these books.

Remember to check your library. They often have ebooks through Overdrive and Hoopla.
