Nice, I scored two 36 packs last time ordered the 60 pack, I believe it was the same price two weeks ago, or is it still the same sale

was so happy to find 9v for a decent price the last time this sale came around. wal mart has them for $14 for 4 (vs here, $11 for 12, same brand), ridiculous! need them mostly for smoke detectors, and there's also always some oddball thing (like my multi meter) that takes 9v.

also buy the aa in bulk for my xbox.

why not getting the Thunderbolt at harborfreight for only $1.69 for 4 pack of 9v and can get a flashlight for free (came with 4 free AAA batteries). You dont need that many 9v anyway.

Mainly because every battery experience that I have from Harbor Freight has been junk that I haven't even considered whatever new line or brand that they have come out with as a viable option.
I use a ton of 9V batteries for a bunch of guitar pedals and other music devices in places where it is difficult to get a bunch of DC plugs connected.

There is a large difference in capacity of an alkaline battery versus the "Heavy Duty" batter from Harbir Freight. You can expect about 5 to 8 times the capacity with the alkaline cell compared to the "Heavy Duty" carbon-zinc cell. The alkaline cells can also handle a higher discharge which a carbon-zinc cannot.

1. Anyone know what is the expiration date of those batteries?
2. Do they leak? I am not sure how reliable Rayovac brand is.

The 9V 12pk I bought from Lowe's yesterday has an expiration date of Nov 2024. Given the 5-year storage guarantee on the box, my guess is it was sitting on the shelves for almost a year.

i havent had any problems with either. I use these to replace smoke detector batts. They got full price out of me couple weeks ago Frown I think this is a great deal. I do about 100 batts a year in my buildings. We're required to have 2 smokes in each unit

Yup, for sure. Any alkaline will leak. Plus, these are not a very good Brand of battery to start with. I'd only expect 1/2 to 2/3 the capacity of a Duracell or Energizer. Costco own Kirkland batteries are a much better value.
