Costco has very nice Miele CM6150 One-Touch Countertop Espresso and Coffee System with Integrated Milk Frother for $1499.

https://www.costco.com/miele-one-...04916.html

I've own this exact model for the past two months and really like it. Especially compared to various SAECO and Gaggia machines I have owned for the past 20 years. This one makes by far better drinks, better functionalities, more quite and better built.
Considering reputation and reliability (hopefully) of the brand, I think $1499 is a great deal. I know it's expensive and not for everyone but, if someone into great coffee plus convenience plus great Miele service... this is great value.

There is higher end model for $1799 Miele CM6350.
Basically the same machine with few more bells and whistles.

Just in case, no I am not working for Costco, not for Miele. Just a humble fan of this product.

Compared to a nespresso, how is the maintenance and upkeep with this machine? How much different is the coffee than a nespresso?
if you are asking this question, get the nespresso. in no way is super auto or semi auto on your radar.

Have a Jura A9 that we bought from Costco about three years ago. It's making some funny sounds like after it's done brewing and is tossing the grounds puck into the container. Works fine otherwise but I wonder if it'll last. Would Costco let us exchange for this one plus the difference in price, and would it be worth it? We haven't ever used the return policy to give back something we used for a while--only grocery items and stuff once in a while.

We have one and love it. It's a beast and makes great pulls for a superauto.

A Nespresso uses capsules of coffee, similar idea to the Keurigs. Super automatics machines uses whole bean coffee, it grinds and makes the espresso for you. Maintenance is a little more involved, depending on the machine you have. For example, I have a Gaggia Velsca and weekly I rinse out the brew group. The machine lets me know when to descale.

Looks good. I still prefer something that makes latte/cappuccino automatically, too. Otherwise, this looks solid.

The superautomatics are convenient, but the quality of the drinks can not be compared to something like a manual tamp automatic machine like BES920XL or BES980XL. Those are machines that are highly recommended on coffee forums, but need a little practice. If you're spending this much on a machine, I recommend investing in a setup that your taste buds will not outgrow.

Semi auto is a completely different market. It MAY seem that you can compare them to superautos but, it's not. Superautos make decent espresso, not great, decent , very decent for this model.

Main advantage of superautos is convenience. You pressed a button and you get great coffee or milk drink.

In my years of owning superautos I had a period when I used semi auto. I bought Lelit Anna on the advice of my local coffee machine repair shop owner. About Breville he says these machines are his bread and butter. They are made in China and pretty low quality, on average, do not last more than three years. So, if you really strive for perfection go for better quality brand like Lelit, Rancilio etc.
On the point, yes semi auto machines are great if you want to make occasional drink or, to get more involved with coffee making process but, it takes time and effort. I used my Lelit for almost a year and sold it. As one famous coffee blogger says if you buy semi auto machine you buy yourself a hobby.

I think Juras covered by 2 years warranty. Check your method of payment. Some credit cards have double warranty insurance coverage if you use them as method of payment it will extend yours to 4 years. I used it once to repair my treadmill.

I really like juras. They have pretty good tech especially last three years with their PEP. But their service is terrible. You have to ship your machine to factory facilities. Also, I am not comfortable with the fact that you can't take brew unit out of the machine to clean it and visually inspect it. Which makes it necessary to send in for cleaning at least once every two years or, I would at least once a year. I am just not convinced that automatic process of cleaning will do this 100% in every little corner where mold can grow.
That, unless you live somewhere close to the factory service depot.
