lol people have been saying this for years. I dont think so and I hope not. I love my tivo system. My parents have it too and love it, soooo much better than rentting overpriced crappy cable boxes. My cable + internet bill after all fees and taxes is under $90 because of tivo, which I thinks a decent price.

Tivo says the mini vox has been discontinued and is being replaced shortly.

I have a couple of the really old minis. They do recorded and live tv fine but the apps struggle. I'll use Netflix on it sometimes and it's ok but the other apps aren't worth trying. I ended up replacing my old bedroom mini with this new mini box vox and it's soooo much better. I used the old one for many many years so I got my money worth out of it.
*You could set up a site-to-site VPN. Mini uses Bonjour (or a similar protocol) along with some other broadcast stuff for discovery, meaning you would have to have a pretty complicated setup to get it to work.

I bit the bullet for 2 to replace one broken mini that is stuck on boot and the other which arent the same specs as the vox mini......
Looks like VOX mini has 4 times the CPU twice the RAM, twice the flash, updated ethernet and HDMI and MOCA and 4k compatible for compatible apps. I think the 4k is only if you upgrade to Hydra/"New Experience" UI. I use the older UI
