Actually battery life or synthetic tests? Can't readily find any, and too YMMV based on specific model, but at least you have some idea..

im waiting for 13" or 14" 1080p touch screen, 8 gigs ram, minimum 256gig ssd for $299 or less.
(cpu does not matter since any modern cpu can handle typical non-gamer stuff.)
