I know their chinos are pretty dang good. But does anyone know if their shorts are any good?
I have two pairs of the shorts (but in 7"). The shorts material is great and airy, but their "slim-fit" flares out for me. I had to take mine to the tailor to have it adjusted for $12.
YMMV if you have thicker legs. Leg opening on my 7" was about 10.5" and I adjusted it down to about 9,5".
All I can describe is that it's a higher thread count with a soft, stretchy knit and quite a weight to it, it's about as thick as those industrial logo Gildan shirts but the knit is done very well so it doesn't degrade as fast and feels like silk on the skin.
Feels pretty much silkier and softer than any of their other fabrics. The appearance also makes it more formal so for example polos will look odd with shaggy/baggy jeans whereas their regular polos would be fine.
I just don't equate polo with cool temps. Can anyone vouch for this?
Their luxury touch performance golf polos are the "coolest" cotton I've ever worn. Also the best wicking and such out of cotton. The don't sweat it ones just seem like regular polos for sure and are good for fall and spring but left me hot and sweaty in the summers.
Cool polos are very possible though but you would need to go for polyester types like Under armour textured golf polo. This is what I use for work in temperatures up to 50C and still maintain some formality.
Thick and un-textured polyester just holds the sweat and feels only marginally better than cotton IME.

Try it @ the mall.

I did not try the Gmail "+" trick, but in my experience with non-Google sites, it's treated like a unique e-mail.
